Yogurt: The Cure For High Blood Pressure

Women who eat five or more servings of yogurt a week are less likely to develop high blood pressure, says new research.

Yogurt is rich in calcium and good bacteria, which balance the daily diet, strengthen bones, but also eliminate the stress and depression. In addition, this dairy product that is an essential part of every breakfast affects immunity, heart health and teeth.

A study in which were involved thousands of people, found that the risk of high blood pressure in treated individuals who regularly consume yogurt was reduced by nearly 20 percent compared to people who ate yogurt only once a month.

The positive effect of yogurt is more pronounced in women, because men ate much less yogurt, the researchers explained.

Positive effects on human health and blood pressure were more pronounced in people who combined yogurt with lots of fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes. Scientists found that only 170 grams of yogurt a day, in combination with the food, reduces the risk of high blood pressure by 31 percent.

This study has shown that the regular consumption of dairy products, especially yogurt, can reduce the risk of high blood pressure, which is a leading risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

The researchers explained this data by the fact that yogurt contains high amounts of calcium and protein required for good functioning of the body, which have a beneficial effect on the blood pressure and operation of the adrenal glands.

People who consume yogurt daily for a period of 15 years are 31 percent less likely to develop high blood pressure. In addition, regular consumption of yogurt regulates blood sugar level, as well as reduces the risk or mitigate the problems of osteoporosis.

It is recommended to eat one portion of low-fat yogurt a day, which along with regular physical activity will help to prevent heart disease.
